We love to make paper chains at Christmas time. I made them when I was a child and it is a tradition we have held onto with our family. We have fun making long paper chains and stringing them up around the house. They are colourful and beautiful!

  • I loved making paper chains as a child and wouldn’t mind making them again, thanks for reminding me!

  • A gorgeous decorating idea for any special event, not just Christmas. It;s a great activity for the kids to get involved with too!

  • yeah we make paper chains too. snowflakes are great on the window. i always love decorating for chrissie, it helps to get into the spirit of things hey! Plus the kids get excited to see the house getting festive!

  • That’s fantastic. Can’t wait to do this with my daughter

  • These could look really beautiful especially if you use a little silver or coloured foil here and there!

  • My house is always adorned with handmade decorations, they give more meaning to Christmas. Some are so old and a bit falling apart, but they continue to go up. My kids ask why? I say Christmas is family, it’s all about family, right down to the handmade decorations

  • My kids love making all their own decorations and paper chains. We also make Christmas chocolates using the moulds and colours – they look very pretty and make great presents for teachers and friends.

    • Love the idea of making your own chocolates – brilliant!

  • Oh! You could post some pictures of them. I would really love to see them!

  • Yes, thats a fun thing to do! We make ones with wide strips and then hand them across the front veranda – its pretty effective!

    • Your front verandah would look absolutely gorgeous and festive.
