We used to meet up with our relatives at a particular reserve every year on Good Friday. One couple were elderly but fiercely independent so we went to the one nearest their place so they didn’t have far to drive. We all took plenty of food and drinks and shared it around. Part of the area was always shaded so if it was too warm we would sit in that area. There was plenty of room for the kids to run about or play games some of which we joined in. They have since upgraded it and put a large area of playground equipment.

Sounds divine! I would so love a family celebration like this. I have never heard of Science Works, it sounds like a great family day out, I will try and remember it fir next time we’re in Melbourne
