Hello!

my two year old loves to watch a full movie where my 4 year old does not. Both have a different length of time. Not sure if its a sign of a disability or not. The 4 year old cant sit down for that long. He never seems interested. He seems to be an observer more than just a hands on person. He will copy what youve just done.

  • Different kids have different attention spans, my daughter has always been the type to sit for long periods and concentrate on one thing, my niece however always has to change activities (and sometimes clothes for that matter) every hour or so. She doesn’t have a disability, she just works better flitting from activity to activity.

  • Kids have different personalities and different capacities.

  • Everyone is different. Some people don’t like sitting still for long periods and especially boys.

  • They are all different, but if you’re worried talk to your doctor

  • don’t worry. he is just a different kid! Your littlie might love the quiet time (he is only 2) and your bigger child has more energy to deal with the day. See even if he had something, the doctors won’t really look into it until he is older and at school because they advise against diagnosing little children with add etc. Boys are more active and full on than girls

  • Yes all kids are different but if you are concerned have a chat with your gp

  • I think all kids are different. Boys also seem to be more active and have shorter attention spans early on. I wouldn’t worry.
