Hello!

I have been trying this conscious eating for a month now and it is great. It is a way of eating slowly and stopping as soon as you feel full. sounds pretty normal but most people eat to finish their plate or snack when they actually are not hungry. I have lost a kilo a week so far which is also the safe way to loose weight and hopefully keep it off. I still eat chocolate and can eat anything I want but I have noticed I am making healthy choices. there is no food banning or forbidden foods so you can still go to the party and eat cake, but rather than eating a massive slice of cake just a small slice to get the taste is all you need. It is a really doable long term eating pattern to stick to unlike fad diets where you end up loading the weight on as soon as you stop.

  • I need to try this. I spend too much time mindlessly nibbling on snacks, probably half the reason I can’t live weight

  • Well done. I found that if I ate one decent plate of food without seconds, and snacks or dessert and kept active around the home, I lost a kilo in a week. No restrictions on foods, and just amounts.

  • Good on you; slowing down is definitely the way to go.

  • I usually just gobble down my food, I need to slow it down.

  • It sounds simple, yet effective. So many of us have forgotten how to listen to our bodies and read the hunger/thirst signs correctly. I’m glad that you have managed to do it.
