Why does queing for petrol make you want to dress up?
I patiently wait in line for petrol like people do.
Three lanes, 6 bowsers, three cars waiting and every driver focused on the car in front and behind. Should I have dressed up for this? I’m thinking my snake-skin sandals would have been a better look or my white pants with my red sandals.
I step out onto the concrete petrol stained carpet and feel my way to the petrol cap. CRAP I haven’t opened it. I step back to the drivers car door which doesn’t open! Crap again… coz I’ve left the keys in the car, however my rear door opens and I can crawl my way back to the drivers seat and flick the petrol cap from there.
The bowser says FULL and I disconnect from the petrol world and feel like I should WAVE.
I pull out, feeling like everyone else who wants to wash their windows won’t, until the next time when no-one at the petrol station is waiting behind them.
