As my own sisters become grand parents and some of my husband’s siblings are now gr grand parents. I too will hopefully be one in September 14. My son and his wife were to have had their first child in April 14 but it was a miscarriage at 17 weeks. This time they waited to tell until the 15 week mark, I was sent ultra sound pics and asked guess what.
It is a first for both sides and so we are all happy about this. Does make their trip overseas in May interesting but they better enjoy it. I know that something can still happen to the baby but we are wishing them well and very hopeful. The last scans as this are done every month now show baby is bigger then should be but the dates can not be wrong, so it will be a big one like its dad.
