  • Walkie Talkies are great fun, you and your little one can use them when he is out playing in the yard and you are indoors etc My eldest had a toy house PA system from her bedroom to the kitchen, she loved me calling her on her own PA. Flashlights are something little ones find fascinating. Kaleidoscopes. Binoculars are always a hit. Musical instruments are fun. Crayola have several varieties of art and craft ideas. Jigsaw puzzles you can do together are fun. Kites are wonderful and great fun for the whole family t o get out in an open park. None of the above are expensive and good value.

    • Oh they are some great ideas. I have never thought of a Kite. That would be great..even to get him a bit more in the outdoors. Thanks for the tips..they are some good ideas i have never even thought of. I want my nephew to have a wonderful Christmas!

  • My 3yo this year is getting wooden train set stuff. There is heaps you can get, at kmart there are reasonably priced sets, you can get imaginarium ones from toys r us which are practically the same, and if you want something to last then I suggest Thomas branded trains and track.
