Green with envy? maybe a slight twinge

So, a few months ago, I found out a family member is pregnant! I’m so happy for her… It’ll be her second child and I couldn’t be more thrilled for her and her husband.

Fast forward to yesterday, I got a text that they’re having a girl. I’ll admit it, a little bit of the Green Eyed Monster reared it’s face for a second. I can embarrassingly admit that I did get a little jealous. I have two gorgeous, wonderful little boys… but I do have that dream of a little girl… so I did feel a twinge of jealousy – just for a minute or two.

(Don’t get me wrong – I’m over the moon happy for her – I’m just a jealous of her pink bundle. It doesn’t mean I love my boys any less… )

At least I can satisfy my own girl yearnings by buying lots of beautiful pink outfits now

It’s common, doesn’t mesn you love your boys any less. At least you have good excuse to buy dresses and girly things.

You could dress your boys in pink. We always want what we haven’t got. Enjoy having a baby girl in your life.

A friend of mine has 4 boys and is so jealous I’ve got two girls and when I had my son there were quite a few jealous mums who had given up on the elusive boy

It is a normal thing it happens to the best of them. It will never mean less of you as a mum. I have 2 beautiful girls and I get jealous when someone says there having a girl or even a boy.

This is so normal! Do you want to hear something weird though. I have 2 girls and when people announce they are having a girl I get jealous! I have no idea why. I have no desire for anymore kids boys or girls lol
