Hello!

These holidays we’ve been playing tourist in our home town. We’ve visited museums, galleries and many parks and gardens. The kids have enjoyed nature walks, bike riding, tram rides and we’ve even hired canoes. It’s been so much fun, rediscovering old favourites and new places we’ve been meaning to go. Its simple to do, just plan out your day and go for it!

  • It’s so true, we only usually visit such places when showing visitors around town. Great idea to make a point of seeing what’s on your doorstep.

  • I always mean to do this. I’ve lived here for nearly 30 years and there’s still places I’ve never been, a lot of places I’ve been to once. I really should get out and about more and check the place out as it is truly beautiful. Thank you for this kick in the pants to motivate me

  • We do this as well. Often it’s easy to forget just what we have access from our own back doors. Thanks for sharing.

  • Also; visit the tourist information centre in your town as they often have some good deals and bargains too! :

  • We do this too. It’s often cheap, but great.

  • That’s right! So often we don’t enough of the city we live in! School holidays are the perfect time to rediscover them! :-)
