I Smile, but I miss my little girl - Real Mum story on MoM

After the loss of my daughter born at 21 weeks I was a little stunned to find out 2 months after her death I was pregnant with my third child. My pregnancy was so easy going (which was a huge difference than my previous with my daughter) My healthy happy boy was born and has made his big brother, daddy and mummy proud. I am so lucky to have been able to have him and even be alive. I love my now 9 month old boy and his big brother almost 4 years but miss my little girl Lilly-Anne everyday. I look at my life and see my children and see how beautiful they are and how happy my life is. My boys are what make me get up everyday with a smile.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. At 21 weeks your little girl would have been so tiny. I can’t imagine your excitement when you discovered you were pregnant again so soon. Relief that all went well with your next pregnancy would have been overwhelming. Your baby boy born after your loss with never replace her. Enjoy being a Mum to your 2 little boys. They seem to grow up too soon.

How sad! Worst pain ever is the loss of a child. I am amazed parents keep on living after the death of a child

A couple of negatives in this story, but the positives over ride them. Hard to lose your daughter, but joyous to have your 2 boys

Losing a child is the hardest thing possible to live with but you must know that they would want you to be happy in the end!

Six years ago I lost my baby boy at 37 weeks. I still cry for him.

What you went through will never truly leave you and it’s normal to grieve for the child you lost. It is a pain that no person should have to endure. I hope you have a good counsellor. It sounds as though you’re giving your two boys the best possible life and that’s the best thing you can do to honour your little girl. I wish you the best.
