Yesterday was a day from hell. Madam went to sleep at 3am and awoke at 5am and that was it. After a morning of racing around trying to get various chores done with an over tired cranky 2 year old in tow, we got home, had lunch and then she finally fell asleep. Approx 3 seconds later the phone rang and woke her up. (To add insult to injury it was a telemarketer…)
2 hours and 45 minutes of screaming, crying, temper tantrums and carrying on, and I was about at my wits end. I threw her in the car and off to the park.
At least our meltdowns were now in the open air, not enclosed in our little house.
I sat on the park bench and nearly cried with exhuastion and frustration as she threw yet another tantrum.
Another Mum came and sat down next to me. “so much fun aren’t they?” She knew exactly what I was going through.
We sat and chatted for ages, and it was enough for me to retain my sanity.
I never found out her name, but I hope if she reads this, she is aware she may have prevented a mass murder last night!!!
