it's so much fun having 4 year old boy

i am sure that most of mums know how frustrating 4 year olds could be and thought i knew it too. after all i have 2 daughters before this little monster turned up. my oldest daughter is very very frustrating, smart, hyperactive and stubborn. but up until now i had relatively easy time with the kids, and just like that over night my sweet little boy turned into angry, aggressive monster that i do not recognize. it breaks my heart listening to him screaming at me, bashing the walls or trying to hurt me or his sisters because he didn’t like something or didn’t get the toy or any reason really. i understand it’s a stage and it will pass but i didn’t know it could be that difficult. i can solve a lot of problems or negotiate my way out of a lot of tantrums but not with him, he is like from another planet and would not even consider listening. i just hope it will pass soon enough and we can get on with our life.

Have you had him checked out for possible underlying causes? He sounds as though he’s over reacting

The main reason why he behaves that way is because you have given him a new name “MONSTER”. We all know what monsters can do, so if you really want to see and realise any change from him, then you’ll have to withdraw his new name. OK!!

Our 4 year old son has turned into a bit of a control freak and is super demanding from sun up till sun down -hard work too. I believe it will get better and patience and plenty of physical activity is what I am using!
