Kids are always complimenting.....Jokes!!!

They say kids usually speak the truth when they voice their opinion, even at the most awkward times without even thinking before they speak. Mine are like that in a nutshell when it comes to complimenting me….or perhaps, insulting is a better word.

Two “compliments” for the week (and it’s only halfway through) are:

1) “Mum, I know why you always look cranky. You have ‘resting bitch face’ hahaha”
2) “Mum, sis and I were looking at your turkey gobbler. Yeah, yano that loose skin under your neck?….well, it looks like a vagina” Followed by cackles of laughter.

I’m really feeling the love here (not)!!!!
Do your kids shower you with compliments like mine and make you feel like a million dollars (or wanting to get plastic surgery)?

  Truly hope this is just a passing phase for you. Stay strong. Motherhood can be quite tough at times.

Absolutely not nice remarks indeed. I would be quite upset if my daughter addressed me that way!

I have not had any comments like this and it sounds unkind. You are quite right they are insults. Poor you! Hope you have a lovely Christmas and hope your kids are kind to you too!

Those aren’t compliments, they are out of line (or would be in my house). I hope your kids grow out of making such horrid comments to you – now that would be a Christmas present worth asking for! Glad you can see the funny side …
