Local Takeaway - Real Mum story on MoM

Every week small businesses close down and a little piece of Australia goes with them too. I grew up with a local take away with old fashioned pizzas, fish n chips and homemade burgers. Our local take away is the last one standing in our area and is much loved by our neighbourhood. Good old fashioned food and service and a business which is not owned by internationals. We support our local and buy food from them and there are plenty of healthy options on the menu too. I hope this childhood institution endures and lives on for a long time.

I hope it lasts for many years to come too. If they do good food, there’s no reason why they can’t go on for a long long time! If they don’t do good food and keep the regulars happy, well chances are they’ll go out of business

Yes I think as long as enough people support it should stay open!

We look for smaller, local businesses where possible.

I totally agree! I always support our locals! I hate putting my money into the big international companys!

As a kid i use to love the weekly friday night fish and chips my parents would let us have. it was only a short stroll down the road. Sadly with todays prices and low incomes(in some areas) it can be hard to support the little buisnesses we should be supporting instead of the multinational big chain stores.

  It can be hard for them to compete with low prices of other places, but they do get heaps of support.
