Hello!

People always say to me where do I find time to look after myself? My simple answer is “I don’t”.
I’m a mum, full-time carer to my husband, have 3 children age 14, 9 and 5, work 4 days a week and am expected to cook, clean and run all the other errands for the household. It is difficult to even think of when I get time for myself. I have vowed this year I will take more time for myself whether it be a cup of coffee with a friend, a walk in the park or going to a movie. I’ve even started looking after my health, getting a dental checkup after 20 years of not going to the dentist. I find any time I take to myself needs to be outside the home, otherwise if I’m at home I get interrupted or I can’t stop thinking about everything that needs to be done. I’ve been told little steps is the key so I’m hoping the small changes I’ve already started to make will make an improvement in my overall wellbeing in the long run.
