1. make your lunch for work every day
– or store a loaf of bread, butter and cheese at work.
– or store a box of cereal at work, there is always milk in the fridge
2. If you can walk or cycle to work, do it. A brisk session in the morning clears your head and is a great division between home and work. It allows you to think, problem solve, plan and mentally debrief – as well as exercise.
3. You never need to buy a book, magazine or newspaper. You can borrow all of these items free from your local library. My library uses Borrow Box app for which you need a library number to login.
4. Haircuts can be expensive. If you are open, brave and have time on your hands, a student can cut and colour you hair for a fraction of the price. They are supervised by an experienced hairdresser so you won’t be left in the hands of an apprentice.
5. Grocery shopping. If you are after fresh food, go to the market about 30-60 minutes before closing time and nab yourself some bargains.
