Hello!

my little one is nearly eight months old, and he is so attached to me.

I do not know how he became this way. is it because I am breast feeding, because I am the one home all day with him or because I give him so many cuddles and kisses?

I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I hear different stories from different people all the time, I guess everyone has their own opinion, but it still leaves me confused.

people say he is in his growth spurt now as he doesn’t want to go to anyone other than me, and he cries when I leave the room….!

also he wakes every night now screaming and crying “mama”. I thought it was because he was cutting a tooth, but now I am thinking he just wants to be in my arms?!

I am so in love with him, but he is tiring me out! I just wish I knew why he was such a mummys boy! :(

  • That is beautiful. What do they say “Our children hold our hands for but a short time, but our hearts forever.” There will come a day you will miss what’s happening now, so try and enjoy it

  • He has reached the developmental stage where he understands you exist, even when you are outside of his grasp, and you are his person, so he wants to be with you.

It’s up to you how you proceed, but if you need to put him down to like pee, or go to another room, use a game like peekaboo to separate you. Start playing before you leave the room, and duck your head in a few times until he settled with you gone.
