Hello!

So my 18 month old has been breastfed on demand and we have done some baby sign language. It worked really well and he could sign eat, drink, read and milk since about 1. Now that he signs milk, he had realised milk come from breastfeeding.
We recently went travelling and visited some distant relatives. He starts doing the milk sign when a cousin was holding him. I said no milk there but he kept furiously signing. I said milk is only from mum but he kept furiously signing. I offered him some milk from me but he didn’t actually want any.
I realised he was telling me she had big breasts! I tried so hard not to laugh and just distracted him. One things for sure though, he was spot on.

  • LIttle ones don’t miss much.
At least he didn’t pull up her top and try to suck. That would have been far too embarrassing..

  • What a sense of Humour from someone so young. It will be funny what things he comes out with when you least expect it.

  • Oh from the mouth of babes… or in this case the hands.

  • Little ones really do say things as they are. You should be grateful it was signed, not verbal!

    • So true! It’s still discrete!
