Unfortunately you’re the only one in this boat – I did all my own shopping, plus his mums, and my mums (naturally) and sat down with my toddler while he made my card. He then proceeded to give me my gifts in the big w bag so he copped a bit about that. Even on the day it was really no different then any other day of the yr. If he’s off this weekend just tell him you’d like a do over for mothers day and have all the craft stuff set out.

Like guys that forget even special wedding anniversaries. ( e.g. 10, 20, 25, 30 etc.) My Dad surprised my Mum by buying her a present for their 24th Wedding Anniversary, but said or did nothing for their 25th -Silver -Wedding Anniversary.
We never was one for flowers or a dinner. Lucky we kids planned a surprise party at home – except somebody let it slip to Mum.

Yes, sadly, men are severely lacking when it comes to thought and consideration. Hopefully,mother make up for it in other ways. I know my man does, and I love him regardless

My husband decided to give me a day off for Mothers Day. I get the intention was good. But everyone left right after breakfast to go to his mums, I wasn’t told when they were coming home, he didn’t answer his phone for hours, they got back just before dinner which I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to cook or not, and it was just really lonely. And I didn’t get a present! Oh well.
