Hello!

Our first child was conceived on our honeymoon. I had been counting the days and this was the middle of my third cycle since coming off 15+ years on the pill and implanon. Tueday January 17 2012, I did a test at 6am, just as my husband was about to leave to go to work. I watched the line appear on the test as soon as the section became wet. My jaw dropped, I’d been feeling sick for 19 days, but put it down to foreign food. I raced out to telk my husband and all he could say at the time was “that was easy” gave me a kiss on the cheek and left. It must have sunk in during the day because he was more excited that night. We have a healthy little boy. My pregnancy was complicated, I had just about everything that I could. He then decided that 6 weeks early was when he was arriving.

Today, we have been trying for 9 months and another negative test this morning is just heartbreaking. Ive been told it is common, but that doesnt help me. I hope we get the chance to complete our family

  • don’t give up. i fell pregnant with my first the first month of trying after having my thyroid removed due to cancer and getting the ok from the surgeon. started trying for the 2nd when our first was 5 months old. it took me over a year. i understand the frustration and heartbreak. but just try the mantra ‘it will happen when it’s supposed to happen’ right now you will probably think ‘yeah that doesn’t help me’ but i think putting stress on yourself will just add another factor that will make it harder. good luck!!!!!

  • I understand your frustration, our first pregnancy ended with a miscarriage after I found out I had endometriosis. So in order to become pregnant I had to have a D & C before conception & thankfully each time I had the procedure conceived & had 3 healthy bubs! Good Luck with your plans. Keep positive & relax.

  • I totally know how you feel and I too know that same deep sinking feeling with each test. I just can’t take the heartache anymore so, for now, I am not ‘trying’ and savoring every moment with my little girl.
