Hello!

I am writing in as i wanted to let you all know that i am so proud of my beautiful children. I have a boy who turns 9 in just over a week and a 2 and a half year old little girl. Just over 2 years ago i finally got up enough courage to leave a 9 year domestic violence relationship. We found it really hard at first but now we are so much better off. My son and i both see a phsyc and are getting there slowly i had no idea untill a cpl of months ago that my son went through alot more than i thought. While i was working his bio father abused him and his new born sister while i was at work trying to be able to feed my children as my ex was a bad drug user that i had a slight idea about but when we got out and still now i am finding how much debt was put into my name 20 thousand plus. I will pay it off eventually as money is tight. My boy used to get beaten by his father when he got words wrong trying to read his school reader and just didnt want to learn but in the last 3 months he has come so far and is reading so much better my daughter is just starting to go to the toilet totally skipped the potty. I just hope that i got out in time and that my children dont suffer anymore. I have recently started at tafe and am currently studying cert 2, 3 ,4 in womens education, cert 1 in IT and then to UNI the middle of next year to become a social worker. :) Life is so much better for us now

  • So glad you built up the courage. As a child of a domestic violence household for many years I have learnt a lot from it but i still have days where I relive memories. You should be proud of YOU and your beautiful children, You are definitely a strong mum and something your children will be proud to look up to.

  • I know this post is about how proud of your children you are, but I want to say you need to give yourself some credit in there too. Look at everything you have achieved. I am proud of your children along side you, but hunni I am proud of you for what YOU have achieved!!
