Hello!

My darling friend called dreadfully upset. There was something very very wrong with her little one. She had gone to change a nappy, and things were not right. She told me she was rushing him to hospital. Over the course of the day, I had regular, rushed phone call updates from her. They were concerned, they were doing tests, he may have to stay in at least overnight. Through all this she could not get hold of her husband, so I had kept trying for her. Several hours later, she let me know he had not done another poo, but they needed to see waht was going on – what should she do? I have no idea how to make a child poo, I just know they will do so at the worst moment possible. I suggested she tell him it would be a bad time, she did and he did! Nothing wrong with it…. Finally her husband called me – what was happening?? I told him where she was and off he went. Now nurse had asked her what had little one eaten/drunk etc. and nothing she told them would have caused any issues.

Once hubby was there, he just happened to mention how much little one had loved the beetroot he had fed him…

So glad it was not me!

  • The hospital staff would have been frantic trying to fins the source of what they thought was blood. Examinations, tests, xrays etc.

  • Hahaha! Oh dear, I remember the colour of bubs poo after eating Beetroot! It would be rather frightening to see if you were unaware of what had been eaten. Lol
