Stress Relief! - Real Mum story on MoM

My son sees his dad is grumpy and sleepy alot. So it was very sad when we were flipping through channels the other day. He saw a mommy and daddy on tv chatting and hopping into bed (the tv show the middle was on).

From that 2 seconds of tv, my son says to me “how come daddy doesnt treat you like that?” i said “like what?” he said “nicely”.

My heart broke.

I replied “you know daddy loves you more than anything in the world right?”

he said “yeah, but he must not love you. I will always treat my gf to happy stuff and i will always be nice to her”

amazing what a 4 year old sees isnt it?

My shift working husband can be like that sometimes, putting all his energy into work. Work can replace you, we can’t I tell him. Sometimes its the people closest to you that deserve your best manners and don’t always get them!

Wow. That hits home hard hey? I think you need to seriously have a talk with your husband about the character he projects. How would he feel if he knew his son thought of him as someone that is horrible to his Mum? That is awful, I really hope things can change for you all.
