Hello!

Not sure what happened tonight but none of the kids complained about dinner. Normally there’s a tirade of complaints or someone grizzles or grumbles leaving me deflated. Everyone ate their veggies & all of their meal. It really made for a pleasant night. Can someone pinch me to make sure I’m not dreaming?

  • I have not had that happened very often at my house. I am cooking mashed pototoes, meat balls in a tomato sauce and vegetable soup. I will see in a couple of hours if this was a sucessful meal.

  • Haha oh my gosh I wish. I only have the one who eats dinner with us at the moment (our other daughter is too young) and there’s never been a night when she doesn’t do something..often it’s throwing it off her table or smooshing it. What wouldn’t I give for just one night to be calm with everything eaten!

  • I’m glad you had a wonderful night of peace and quiet at the dinner table :) hope there are a few more nights to follow for you. You’re right there is nothing more deflating than when you think yes I’ve nailed this dish, it’s delicious and everyone is going to love it and you get “I don’t really like the such and such in it.”
