The not so Happy 30th Birthday! - Real Mum story on MoM

This week i turned the big 3-0! It was going to be an exciting milestone – a day that would be all about celebration and enjoying life! That was until the afternoon before, my husband came home from work early, only to tell me he had been made redundant. It was like a huge black cloud rolled over to dampen everyone’s spirits. All i can say is that it has not been the week that was planned, and although we have banned together and are trying to look at it in a positive way, it has really tarnished what should have been a great day!

I am glad you are keeping your heads held high through a rough situation… Wishing you both all the best getting through this time. I know what it is like to have had a crappy 30th was really sick… then my 31st was spoilt by an abusive ex-husband, 32nd was a little better (new partner helped me have a good day even though I was suffering with Endometriosis)… big hugs and lots of positive vibes being sent your way. And by the way Happy 30th Birthday

Not so bad to miss your 30th. Wait til you’re looking down the barrel of your 50th :0 I am and its scarey. I don’t feel that old. I only feel 20, where did the years go.
