Hi All,
This Halloween I would like you all to consider donating to a charity.
Friday October 31st is not just Halloween it is also National Bandanna Day:National Bandanna Day 2014 is on Friday 31 October – buy and wear a CanTeen bandanna or donate online to show your support for young people living with cancer. Friday is also Day for Daniel: It is about educating children and adults about keeping kids safe through child safety and protection initiatives. It aims to help empower our children to ‘Recognise, React and Report’ if they feel something is not right. Wear Red and Educate is the theme of for Day for Daniel as we strive to have schools, kindergartens, businesses and communities across Australia take action and conduct child safety activities in their local communities to help in ‘Keeping Kids Safe’.The 10th annual Day for Daniel 2014 will be held on Friday the 31st October.
THE DANIEL MORCOMBE FOUNDATION HELD THE FIRST DAY FOR DANIEL IN NOVEMBER 2005.
HALLOSCREAM: Embrace the Halloween spirit while raising awareness for Camp Quality at the Iconic Luna Park at Milsons Point in Sydney. The Halloscream event is inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead celebrations, and runs over two nights, during which the amusement park will be transformed into a creepy playground filled with colour and rhythm. Enjoy the usual rides, plus scary pop-up attractions such as The Maze Runner Adventure Live, a giant labyrinth based on the hit movie, and Alone, a darkened mirror maze that will be filled with spooky surprises. There will be guest appearances by stars of the seven network soap Home And Away, and performances by US rockers Joel and Benji Madden. SYDNEY ZOMBIE WALK: Help keep Aussie “braaaains” healthy and show off your best walking dead impersonation at the annual zombie walk in Sydney’s CBD. The event, which is now in it’s fifth year, raises awareness and funds for the Brain Foundation with a macabre march between Hyde Park and the QVB.   • What a great idea I donate every month to breast cancer research it’s only $10 a month but I know every little amount helps.

  • Great little reminder to donate when possible. I always try to donate to charities but make sure it’s the ones where 100%of the donations go to charity and not to the people collecting.

  • Although not linked to Halloween, I’d like to mention the Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre – which is actually national – and which helps deaf children receive and learn to use cochlear implants.

  • So many charities definately all worthy of donations ,we don’t celebrate Halloween in our house
