Hi MoMs, my 3 year old turning 4 wants a mermaid themed birthday party.
We are having it not at home. So I need all MoMs helps with party food themed ideas that I can transport and that do not need heating.
I would love all ideas

  • Fairy breads always a winner. Perhaps see if you can find a mermaid cookie cutter and have mermaid shaped fairy bread.

  • pretty much the same as any other party as it would be the decorations that make the feel of the party

  • I would be doing fairy bread, fruit skewers, scrolls, jelly, sausage rolls, cup cakes with little edible images on them, cookies with images on them.
Good luck hope all goes well

  • Fruity skewers, no bake nutella cheesecake and Jelly slice.

  • star shaped biscuits, and you can get the kids to help decorate their own star fish, everything can be made in advance and just transported, (may be a little messy but)

  • You can make chocolates in the shape of shells, buy fish shaped lollies and have a fish shaped cake. My sister also had the children do craft at the party to make sparkly cardboard fish and starfish and then attached them into blue netting hung around the room to decorate it.

    • I love the idea of doing crafts – keeps the kids busy :)
