He looks lovely in it……. again we went out and again everyone asked me…”boy or a girl?”…….. i was confused this time, because He was wearing BLUE……… kept pondering…only to realize that sure it was BLUE…but it had little white stars on it :D :D LOL….. looks like I still havnt got used to the colour coding …hahhaa

  • I’ve got two boys and I put them in red and to be honest I love navy on girls I think it looks really smart.

  • Oh this ‘colour coding’ for the sexes SO frustrates me! I’m currently awaiting the birth of my first grandson and have knitted him a purple jumper, I’m can’t wait to see if he gets to wear it or not. I also used my sons old baby clothes for my daughter. I remember one person visiting and after she told people she couldn’t tell if it was a boy or girl cos she was in a green onesie :/ I personally couldn’t care if you all can’t tell because I can!

  • Red is a boys or girls colour,But i would assume its for a boy first really when it comes to colours the only colour i assume is for girls is pink and blue is for boys. But in saying that i purchased my on some pale blue moccosins the other day. I then read the tags and it said girls shoes what the???.Red is such a great colour for hiding little spillson the clothing for boys. I think people are just afraid to assume a kids sex now days as parents tend to get really insutled if a person says what a lovely boy if its the oppasite and visa vresa if its a girl.

  • I think boys can wear red and so can girls! Girls wear blue just as boys do. When I buy clothes for a new bub lemon or pale green with white is a good option.

  • I would just go with colours you like

  • Babies also have such cherub faces that gender can be hard to tell regardless of clothes colour. Do not worry about colour and buy clothes that you love.

  • lol this reminds me- when my first child was little, we went out shopping and she was dressed in a pink dress and this old lady started talking to me and asked “what’s his name?” lol She kept referring to my son lol

  • Don’t think about the colours indeed. Just wear the colours your child likes most. :-)

  • Wear all colours and don’t worry about what people think or say. Boys and girls can wear blues, pinks, reds and every colour of the rainbow. I say “no” to colour codes! :)
