Good information for parents who are trying to collect multiple sets

Thanks for the tip although I think I need to go shopping without the children so I don’t get distracted and get the correct products with the spend over $30.

Going to have to pay attention to this little tip given how obsessed both my kids are on the Lion King

i was sure it was only 3 products for woolworths

I’m happy to earn the collectables if my shop exceeds $30, but not prepared to spend more than $30 just to earn the collectables.

I don’t spend extra to get the promotion collections. I would have too much wastage

What’s even funnier – is that often the item the gets you the bonus is on sale too!!

This has been the case for all, or at least most, of the promotions that the major supermarkets have. Buying extra products to get extra stickers, tiles, toys etc. Often I don’t need anything from the brands, though. Can always do with soap and cleaning products!

Since I only get to shop once a month I can’t see me collecting the whole set. The least I can do is collect them and give them to children who are collecting. It’s a win win situation. They get the Ooshies and I get to see their smiles when I hand them over.

Will keep this in mind for my next shop but will only buy things I know we will use. Thanks for the hack!

I kind of did this yesterday. You work around what you might like lunches and dinners for this week. We picked up ham for sandwhichs, and helps of vegies for dinners. So buying the bonus items dont go to waste. We got a bonus of 3. Plus i change my usually yoghurt so i got a extra 1.

I’ve always said no when offered the Coles or Woolworth collectibles. But today I thought I would grab them for my daughter as a treat. Out of 8 ooshies we got 6 of the gold ones and my daughter absolutely loves them. Looks like I’ll become one of those obsessed mums trying to collect them all

Just adds another gimmick to the things that will finally end up in landfill in a couple of years if that long.

And that is exactly what they want you to do , buy the brands that are paying for this promotion.

great idea but it is still all just a gimmick to make you spend more and I won’t just buy stuff I don’t normally use just for this.
