A 14-month-old with a cheeky smile is taking over the world of fashion on Instagram.

Oakley Lynch was born with symbrachydactyly, a condition where his right arm has not grown below his forearm, this vibrant and stylish young man has amassed a following of more than 15,000 followers.

Initially shocked when their son was born with the condition, Oakley’s parents Victoria and Greg Lynch were so proud of him they wanted to share him with the world. In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, his Dad Greg explained, “Before he was born I was quite against social media. But as soon as he was born I was so immensely proud.”=

“I wanted people to see him straight away and to see he’s no different from anyone else. I think it’s brilliant that it’s spreading the word of limb deficiency or just generally children being different leading normal lives.”

His Mum Victoria started posting photos of Oakley in his outfits – one for everyday. “I just started off by putting a photo everyday of Oakley and what he was wearing,” said Oakley’s Mum Victoria within the same interview, ‘I usually spend about five minutes dressing him and I’ll take a quick snap before we go out.”

Pretty soon brands came knocking, wanting Oakley to model their clothes. Boutiques in Australia, America and the UK send him clothes send him packages of clothes every day.

For his Mum Victoria the added bonus to Oakley’s success on Instagram is that they have been able to connect with hundreds of other parents who have children the same as Oakley.

‘I think a lot of people who have children the same as Oakley really appreciate that we’re not always dwelling on the fact that he has one hand, it’s just a normal account of a little boy who happens to have one hand.’ she said.

  • Gorgeous boy !! When I first looked at the pictures I didn’t even see he’s missing part of one arm…
When I was young, family friends of us got a wee girl with 1 arm missing from shoulder. She grew up into a beautiful woman now.
