A recall has been issued for the St John Ambulance Australia Tiny Tots First Aid Kit due to injury risk.

The small first aid kit with first aid supplies to assist a consumer treat a minor first aid incident has been recalled. The kit includes a thermometer which is the subject of the recall.

The battery compartment may not be adequately secured allowing possible access to the button battery if the product is dropped on a hard surface.

If young children gain access to the button batteries and ingest them, they may suffer internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness and even death. In addition, the batteries may pose a choking hazard to young children.

If you use or have a St John Ambulance Tiny Tots First Aid Kit, remove the electronic thermometer and discard it. You can contact St John Ambulance for a free replacement electronic thermometer by phoning 1300 956 625.

  • A worry about the battery problem but glad they are replacing them. Just hope that everything is ok this time. I use the good old fashion thermometer that does not need batteries..

  • Those kind of batteries are so dangerous when little ones swallow them. Luckily they are checking on this product.
