Em Rusciano has shared the super strange pregnancy side effects she has been suffering from.

Chatting on air during her 2DayFM Breakfast show with Em, Grant & Ed, (weekdays from 6AM on Sydney’s 104.1 2DayFM!) she shared some of the strange pregnancy symptoms she has been suffering including, popping ears, sore hips, thick hair (such a bonus!)

Em said she has also had bleeding gums and feels like she has scurvy.

And her nipples getting massive! OMG the HUGE nipples.

Grant Denyer shared a strange symptom his wife suffered from, which was bulging varicose veins on her vagina. Obviously very swollen and uncomfortable.

About four per cent of pregnant women develop varicose veins in and around their vagina, called vulvar varicose veins. You may notice these yourself, or your midwife may see them when she carries out a vaginal examination.

  • Every person is different so why should we all react the same way in pregnancies? All you can be sure of is that the norm is very wide ranging in everything.

  • Not unusual for pregnant bodies to react in different ways. I had some unusual things occur to my body but body returned to normal once birth occurred.

  • Teeth and gum problems during pregnancy are quite common, as well as changes in hair, nails, nipple, varicose veins and sore hips. Popping ears is a new one for me !

  • I never realised I would have so many problems with my teeth while pregnant.

  • I had terrible hair with my girls but not my boy. It felt like the life had been sucked out of it. Definitely no baby glow. I also had severe sciatic nerve pain
