Millie’s Dad was surprised when she came home from school and told him that her classmate Tommy had asked her to marry him but what came as a bigger surprise was the ring.

Tommy had taken his mum’s engagement ring from home and given it to Millie when he proposed! A real diamond ring!

Have your children ever ‘borrowed’ something precious?

  • Isn’t young love so innocent and so cute. You really could not be angry at him

  • Oh no I would be horrified! So lucky the ring wasn’t lost or stolen. Naughty, but nice, little boy he is

  • I think its sweet – how the innocents of babes comes through – but I would have felt sick if my engagement ring went walk about with any of my littlies or any where else!

  • I can see the funny side of this – but I think I would have been distraught if it had happened to me. As I never take my rings off, it can’t ever happen, thank heavens.

  • If my boy or girl did that I would feel that I couldn’t trust him/her not to steal our prized sentimental things again…..I can see the funny side of it though.
Imagine what the reaction of the girl’s parents would have been too.
