This is the softest play dough you’ll ever make and the best bit – no cooking on the stove.

  • 1/2 cup shaving cream
  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 2 drops food colouring

  1. Mix together equal parts shaving cream and corn starch in a bowl.
  2. Roll out on to a clean board then knead it until it starts to form dough.
  3. Add a few drops of food colouring to colour it, then knead some more.

Notes... Add more cornflour if the mixture is too wet. Add more shaving cream if the mixture is too dry.

  • I would love to try it but I’m pretty sure she would eat it

  • Looks amazing thanks for sharing your project

  • Awesome for my boys and not my daughter unfortunately because she tries to eat it.

  • this was a perfect project while in isolation… my little one loved it and kept him busy for ages… he did try to eat it though…. oops

  • Is this why there was no shaving cream at the supermarket? Great idea for the littlies anyway.

  • I really need to try this

  • Omg great idea. Super easy. Thx

  • That is soo cool and with ingredients that we all have at home – can’t wait to try this with the kids!

  • What a great activity and to get the dough at the end is great thanks for sharing

  • i like the simplicity of the recipe. my only worry is when its eaten (which my little girl definatley will) due to the shaving cream.

  • I tried this, twice, the measurements are way off for starters. But it doesn’t work. It’s too crunchy and hard no matter how much shaving cream I used

  • Wow I didn’t realise it was so easy to make and with ingredients I actually have at home! Thank you for posting

  • Awww, this is so simple and easy. I can almost feel how soft this will be.

  • Wouldn’t you know it. I have all the ingredients but not the kids to play with it.

  • Looking forward to trying this one!
