Hello!

A breastfeeding mum, wearing nothing more than her husband’s underwear, has rescued her pet goose from certain death at the claws of an eagle.

Cait Oakley’s almost-nudey run to save her goose has since gone viral, thanks to the whole crazy scene being captured on security camera.

Cait, her husband Mike and their three children live on Vancouver Island where they lead an idyllic life growing their own produce and raising chickens and geese. Frankie the goose even has her own TikTok account which is run by Mike.

The drama with Frankie unfolded when Cait was peacefully breastfeeding in the house. She then heard a commotion from Frankie and realised her goose may be cooked!

@frankythegoose We have lost 3 chickens in the last week from what I was told was eagles which I believed hawks were preying on them but watch Frankie (our female goose) get taken. Mama bear mid breast feeding protecting her sweet Frankie. “We have lost three chickens in the last week,” the caption on the video explains. “From what I was told (it) was eagles (which I believed (were) hawks) were preying on them. But watch Frankie (our female goose) get taken. Mama bear mid breast feeding protecting her sweet Frankie. Officially living at a zoo.”

The video of Cait running out with baby still breastfeeding, and her underwear askew, has now been viewed more than 20 million times.

“There’s a lot to unpack in this video of me that has recently gone viral of me running outside in my husband’s boxers while breastfeeding my baby and defending my goose from a bald eagle,” Cait explained in a follow-up video.

“I would like to say that it was laundry day and I was wearing Mike’s boxers and not tighty whiteys as one person kindly pointed out.”

We’re completely in awe of this superwoman mum!

  • What a super woman! Glad the goose was ok in the end. Can’t think of too much I tried to do while breastfeeding…certainly wasn’t chasing down animals and birds

  • I had a big feral cat going after my 18 month old son so my little dog (she weighed just under 3kgs) got between the cat and him. I didn’t want anything to happen to either so I flew straight at the cat and I’m glad to say it ran off. Never saw it again
