After a super popular “Little Shop 2” campaign, Coles is going more “glassy” with their next collection.

Most supermarket collections seem to be geared to the kids. But Coles’ latest one is specially for the grown-ups.

Loyal customers can claim free upmarket Spiegelau wine glasses, when they shop it up at Coles.

How To Earn Your Free Wine Glasses

Shoppers can earn one ‘glassware credit’ for every $20 spent at Coles stores, First Choice or Liqourland starting from 30 October 2019.

To earn credits, customers just need to remember to scan their flybuys card at the checkout.

Once 25 credits have been accumulated, shoppers can then redeem these for a box of two Spiegelau glasses.

Pricey

This means that customers would need to spend $500 on their shopping before getting their hands on the premium collectables.

However, if you check the Riedel website, you can grab a box of four Spiegelau for around $60. But I guess, you could argue, that you would probably spend the $500 anyway and now you’re getting a bonus wine glass or two with your purchase.

The Spiegelau glassware range is made by Riedel and is well known for manufacturing some of the best wineglasses in the world.

Coles chief  executive Steven Cain told The Australian Financial Review: “We believe it’s going to be very popular with customers, like all the other collectables schemes ranging from plastic storage containers to Stikees to Little Shop.”

  • Would be a bonus for me, it would take me o let two weeks to spend that amount for the premiums

  • To me it’s just a bonus for doing my shopping although I shop at Woolworths. It’s still a better idea but I’m sure that they will come up with something else soon.

  • Great new collection.Sure Woolworths will do plates.

  • Beautiful quality glasses and if I get one or two overtime from just doing my usual shop then I will be delighted!

  • now this is my kind of collectable! might take me a while to get the points up to claim them, but I only need 2 wine glasses, one to drink from and one spare in case I break it lol!

  • Something different to do but that’s a lot of credits to get

  • Will collect because we spend money on the groceries.

    Reply

  • well, i’d prefer if the points were a bit lesser….

  • If I earn enough points I’m happy with some glasses as they always break. However I would never spend more money or go more often to Coles just so I can get glasses.

  • I think it’s a great idea but to have to spend $500 for just two glasses is a bit much. I wouldn’t go out of my way to collect these, but would be good if you’re spending that money anyway I guess

  • These could come in handy at Christmas when the parents visit!

  • This is only a good deal if you actually drink alcohol. For me, and anyone else who doesn’t drink, it is just more cheap junk. Just another reason why I don’t shop at Coles, they are so out of touch with society as a whole.

  • interesting plan

  • I will not be participating in this, I don’t need anymore glasses.

  • I think this is awesome. I love something for nothing.

  • they are expensive if you don’t ordinarily do you grocery shopping at coles. I shop there every fortnight so for me they are free

    Reply

  • That’s too expensive for a set of glasses.

  • These are stunning but to have spent so much to just redeem is hard

  • god what will they think of next
