Grab a gift card, a bottle of wine or their favourite drink and some chocolates! Pop it all in a cute gift bag and include a gorgeous personalised card. Too easy!

Walked down to the beach, got some sand and a few nice shells, put them in a spare jar and wrote “Happy Holidays” on the jar. My best friend LOVED it and so did I, unique and looks great.

Leading up to the holiday season, I buy a book of movie tickets and some cards. Then if I need a last minute present, I give them a double pass. Any tickets left after the new year are for me and hubby to enjoy a movie or two.

We only buy for our immediate family, so if I get a gift from someone unexpectedly, I will usually share it with them.

I was once given a toilet paper pack by an ‘eccentric’ aunt who wasn’t expecting me at a family Christmas dinner! For similar unexpected last minute occasions I prefer to keep a couple of gift cards on hand with long expiry, which I can use myself too if not gifted!
