20 lucky winners will receive a copy of Country Roads by Nicole Hurley-Moore valued at $29.99 each!

WIN 1 of 20 copies of the novel Country Roads by Nicole Hurley-Moore, thanks to Allen & Unwin. This is the compelling story of a grief-stricken man reeling from tragedy and a hard-working female farmer dealing with betrayal who may just find love and healing with each other.

Rebecca Duprey is working day and night to keep the family sheep station, Bluestone Ridge, afloat. But Bec’s father, who’s been in a wheelchair since a farming mishap, keeps second-guessing her decisions. Now, to add Bec’s woes, her unfaithful ex-boyfriend has started lurking around, and the adjoining farm she’d hoped to buy has been snapped up by a guy from the city called Matt Harvey.

After leaving his job in advertising, Matt became a bestselling novelist. But since the death of his fiancée in a car accident, he’s had severe writer’s block and is desperately hoping his move to the country will help him deal with his grief and allow him to focus on completing his next book. Problem is, he seems to have started off on the wrong foot with his new neighbour, Bec Duprey.

Bec isn’t quite sure when she started feeling attracted to Matt, but she’s determined not to succumb to his charms. And Matt isn’t sure when his feelings changed about Bec; all he knows is he can’t get her out of his mind. Can Bec and Matt overcome their fear of loss to find love and happiness with each other…?

  • We don’t celebrate, just have a nice meal at Home with the rest of the Family.

  • Box of Roses chocolates and a movie on the sofa – who’s got the energy for anything else when you have kids?

  • Just like any other day. Our love is continual, all day, all night, not just to be celebrated on the one day of the year that the shops deem appropriate. If it were still about the true meaning of ‘SAINT’ Valentines Day, perhaps I’d get into it, but because of the push to buy buy buy, I couldn’t give less of a shit about it.

  • Well now I’m single again, I just do what I feel like on the day! Usually curling up with a great book, some dark chocolate and a nice chilled drink! Thanks!

  • We share the love around in our family and take the kids out to a dessert bar for some decadent treats

  • My favourite was to celebrate is spending the day with my two soulmates, my cats Mr Mouse and Miss Kitty :)

  • bbq by the bay

  • I tend to treat it as just another day. All is fine, but any time I want to rekindle the romantic feeling, I can turn to a novel. I can also enjoy the sweet fragrance of my garden roses then indulge myself on some leftover Chrissy chocolates.

  • Being happy single. Focus on myself for a change.

  • I normally celebrate it with my 3 sons, I do a delicious dinner and desert, as well as place something special on their beds.

  • Just hubby and myself while the kids are at school a long drive, lunch and a walk hand in hand along the beach sometimes the simple things in life are the best

  • My husband will be away so I think I will curl up with a good book.

  • Going out for dinner or to a movie with my hubby, reflecting on the memories we’ve made together. Exchanging cards and gifts. Talking into the night by candlelight. Giving each other massages.

  • I love to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a nice meal somewhere special and a very sweet dessert with my hubby of 27 years. We were engaged on Valentine’s Day 28 years ago and it was so romantic.

  • My favourite way to celebrate Valentines Day being single is spending it with my cat because it doesn’t steal the remote, argue/talk back or leave.

  • I half celebrate. He can have a peck on the cheek, then I ignore him the rest of the day. I’m hard.

  • eat junk food and laze around (:

  • Valentines day is not celebrated in our house because valentines day should be everyday..love and cherish your loved ones now not tomorrow.

  • My birthday is the 2nd and my husband’s the 10th so we don’t tend to celebrate valentines. But this year I’m making a chocolate love heart cake to share as a family to celebrate our love for each other.

  • A nice dinner with good company and great location
