  • using all of the fruits etc from your OWN garden and teaching the kids a healthier way to eat!

  • The art of preserving, means childhood memories recalled,
Summers smelling of apricots stewing, preserving, jam preparing…,
Squished apricots underfoot, when they’d fall!
Now, taking advantage of nearby orchards aplenty,
While preserving food that’s sure to be tasty, preservative-free,
    I’d be having a ‘BALL!’

  • Not having things go to waste because they can’t be eaten right away.

  • It reminds me of my school days when I’d arrive home and mum would be busy either preserving fruit or making chutney or jam and the wonderful aromas that filled the house. Such a wonderful way to share the wholesome goodness from your garden with family and friends.

  • That you know exactly what you are putting in the jar yourself, nothing goes too waste, you can enjoy the fruits of your labour all year round!

  • Having my children help with the whole process, last month we picked strawberries and used them to make jam. They love knowing they played a part in producing the food on our table.

  • My favourite thing about preserving is that i can use own fresh fruit and veg from my own backyard and make it all myself. That way i know whats in it and its natural and healthy for my family

  • That’s it’s homemade so I know exactly what ingredients are in the product I have made. Plus love making home made pasta sauce that’s jam packed with hidden veg
