3 lucky winners will receive a double pass (valued at $220) to War Horse on Sunday 16 February, 6pm at the Sydney Lyric Theatre.

War Horse, the unforgettable theatrical event from the National Theatre of Great Britain, based on Michael Morpurgo’s beloved novel, has returned to Australia.

The winner of more than 25 international awards, including the Tony Award® for Best Play on Broadway, War Horse tells the story of a young boy called Albert and his horse Joey, set against the backdrop of the First World War. This powerfully moving and imaginative drama is a show of phenomenal inventiveness, filled with stirring music and songs, featuring ground-breaking puppetry work by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, which brings breathing, galloping horses to life on stage.

1982. I saw the movie and had a good blubber. Wonderful story. Amazing relationship between human and horse. A good reminder of the strength of friendship and love. Will take tissues if I win!

First published in 1982. I’ve read some amazing reviews of War Horse but never had the opportunity to attend one of the amazing shows. This would definitely be the perfect way to experience the beauty from those reviews for myself.

Not only a mesmerising history lesson, but a play on an epic and technically jaw dropping scale, thanks to the mastery of the performers. All of which I want to soak up and see what all the rave is about!

Michael Morpurgo’s novel War Horse was first published in 1982. I would love to take my daughter to see War Horse as she loves stage shows and especially loves horses. This show looks so innovative and imaginative with the puppetry.

Since it was first published in 1982, War Horse has had a legacy as a courageous and heartwarming story. My mother introduced me to this novel when I was young, and I’d love to share the experience of seeing it come to life with her.

It was first published in 1982. My partner and i both work in a regional theatre; but we like to see shows in other theatres when we can. It’s nice to be able to enjoy a show you’re not working on!

I heard is one of the best plays ever. I always wanted to see it and take my husband as a present for Valentine’s Day before the new baby is coming ( I am due in 12 April )

It was first published in 1982. I world love to win as my husband and I used to read this book when we were younger, and it’s our 16th anniversary since our first date coming up, so would love to surprise him as a gift!

It was published in 1982. I would take my father who arrives from UK tomorrow for first time in years and who’s grandfather was in the world war but I’ve never managed to see this play with him. Plus it’s his birthday on 20 Feb
