We’re giving three lucky families the chance to step back in time at Australia’s oldest and best-preserved heritage steam railway, situated in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges and only one hour from Melbourne CBD.

With lush fern gullies brushing past the open side carriages and Mountain Ash trees towering overhead, Puffing Billy Railway makes for a wonderful opportunity to relax and breathe in the fresh air whilst the train makes its way through the temperate rainforest.

At Lakeside, nestled amongst the towering rainforests, cool fern gullies, and native flowers of the Emerald Lake Park precinct sits the new, state-of-the-art Lakeside Visitor Centre. Offering guests a cultural hub with world class facilities, the new centre features a modern café, function spaces, a gift shop and a gallery of steam artifacts to explore. The Railway Café offers all-day breakfast, freshly baked scones, sit-down lunch, and locally roasted coffee.

Up for grabs are three Family Passes on Puffing Billy Railway, travelling return from Belgrave to Lakeside, valued at $153.50. Winners must be located in Victoria to claim the prize.

  • It’s been soooooooo long! A trip to the bush, the smell of the trees and the thrill of the ride make a fantastic day out

  • Riding on Puffing Billy is something our family always talked about, a great experience enjoying nature and serenity at its best, if we are lucky enough to see some wildlife, it will be a bonus. The kids will love the day out and so would Mum and Dad.

  • Our kids are obsessed with trains, a trip on Puffing Billy, Australia’s oldest and best-preserved heritage steam railway will make this day so special, one that they will remember for a long time. It will be amazing to enjoy this wonderful experience as a family.
