Holy smokes! My dad has always loved cooking on the BBQ. We grew up with a brick and wood fired bbq and even though it made everyone cough, the food tasted epic. Barbecuing is now my dad’s retirement hobby and this pit barrel cooker will be awesome for family gatherings.

Our family has gone through allot of changes in the last few years. Mum passed from dementia, It’s hard for us all but mostly dad, being with one true love for 65 years. dad loved his bbqing but is has gone by the way side, I want to change this…

We head to the beach for a BBQ tea, a bash of cricket and a dip in the sea. Then set up for our bonfire night, feasting on leftover celebrating our Dads with delight!

Well he doesn’t have a BBQ for a start and the The Pit Barrel Cooker looks as though it would be easier to use and much less messy than a traditional horizontal BBQ.

Even though my Dad is 80 he still loves charcoaled meats. As a kid I remember his many inventions with bessemer blocks trying to create the perfect smoker. Now our homes are just too small for such a huge structure. A pit barrel cooker would be just perfect.

I’m so sick of cooking in the kitchen, If I won this and gave it to hubby – I could make him cook dinner for once.
