Canberra’s Commonwealth Park is set to come alive in the city’s centenary year with the sights, tastes and sounds of spring when Floriade returns this September. Now in its 26^th year, the capital’s flagship event is the largest floral festival in the southern hemisphere.

The national award-winning event’s stunning garden beds, horticultural workshops, engaging demonstrations and children’s entertainment will all be inspired by this year’s theme, Beautiful Innovation.

Floriade’s new destination, The Inspiration Hub, promises to enthuse and delight with a range of special guests and celebrity appearances, while the Gourmet Garden is guaranteed to get the mouth watering with demonstrations from renowned chefs, including former MasterChef winner Julie Goodwin and Ready Steady Cook’s Janelle Bloom.

Floriade’s ticketed evening event NightFest runs from Wednesday 25 September to Sunday 29 September, featuring spectacular lighting installations, comedians, DJs, live music and more.

I dont see my husband much these days he is always at work whilst I am at home looking after our 3 month old beautiful baby girl. It seems like we have not shared a moment alone together for way to long. I feel like this trip could be wonderful for our relationship boost.

We have seriously NEVER been on holiday. Tried once it was a disaster car blew up & wasted All money just getting back & didn’t make it anywhere except middle of no where! And being hubbies full time carer takes it out of us both!
