Winners for this competition

  1. C. ChildsQLD
  • A surf print of the ocean and waves as he is at peace and harmony when riding those waves

  • I would choose a style that transports his mind away from the stresses of everyday life by just looking at it, so that just for a brief moment in his crazy busy life, he can just stare and get lost in the art without even going anywhere

  • I would choose artwork that when he looks at it he feels like he is being transported away – and for a couple of minutes he could stare into the picture and just imagine just living his best life without the worry’s of work and life in general.

  • Natural scenery is my pick,
He thinks anything outdoors is terrific.
    Bush land or the coast,
    That’s where we venture most.

  • Fine art if possible, like Monet, Degas etc. He really loves painting himself so these would be inspirational!

  • Japanese artwork for him as he spend 18 years there away from us to earn a living and send us to college. It will be a reminder of how grateful we are for all his sacrifices and we know he still misses his friends who have become his family in Chiba-Ken.

  • Not really sure what dad likes but I like the impressionist art so Mum rules he like it

  • My dad loves football (rugby union) and V8 Supercars – he probably wouldn’t appreciate such a great piece of art!

  • My darling 92-year-old Dad grew up in the country, but has spent almost all his adult life raising a family with Mum in the city. I’d choose a beautiful country scene for Dad like the Craigs Hut sunset panorama, or the Autumn tree tunnel. Stunning!!

  • any as long as it is of the ocean he loves the waves and the sound of waves crashing on the beach

  • Although he’s not my father, my uncle is a shining light in my life. He adores surfing, and I would love to give him a amazing beach/surf scene for him to enjoy every day

  • My dad needs some colour in his life. Something vibrant and happy to make him smile :)

  • id chose a relaxing picture something that he can thoroughly enjoy staring at

  • I would choose one with nature as a scene from the bush or the ocean would be something he would love and this would be for my hubby who is a dad as my dad is watching from heaven.

  • I would love to get Dad an awesome bush theme artwork, something that would look great on his farm :)

  • Something full of excitement and movement. He’s a bit of an amateur sports photographer, So he’s all about capturing the action in the moment. His shots are fun and (I think) full of drama.

  • It would either be Winter or Photography – he is too old to like abstract (or understand it) and he has always liked winter as a season.

  • I would choose something from the modern collection to brighten up an otherwise dull and boring lounge room!

  • Something Aussie and relaxing like a nice sunset that would be perfect for his pool room. Being and ideas man, he simply loves dreamin’ there enjoying the serenity of the place and this style of artwork would add to the soothing vibe. Ideal for him and his little castle.

  • Surf, ocean themed artwork for Dad,
as he was a surfer… as a lad.
A beautiful frame for him to adore,
to inspire and motivate…for him to do more.
He works too hard, and needs to enjoy,
the waves and the ocean, like when he was a boy!
