The polls are in and its official – house hold odour is driving Aussies scents-less! New national research commissioned by Ambi Pur has revealed that odours are a source of conflict in 78% of Australian homes, with breaking wind, smelly garbage and bathroom smells being the most disagreeable odours of them all.  The research uncovered many interesting facts including that 95% of those surveyed admitted to being bothered by bad smells in the home. Further to this 39% said they find smells very uncomfortable and 11% were found to be so badly affected that it makes them angry.

  • Our ‘end’ room.. It’s at the ‘end of the passage’ in our home.
    We have two cats…
Their litter trays are in the “end room”..
    Do you get picture?
Yep… It can get SMELLY IN THE END ROOM!!

  • Last mouth my four kids had a bout of gastro. Even after carpet cleaning and a head to toe bleaching of he floors I can not completely remove the faint odour of vomit in the house.

  • Our bengal kitten “Luna” who farts all the time!

  • Now that we have just got a rescue kitty, the litter tray is actually the worst smelling odour in our house! I am still trying to figure out what to use to make the smell go away.

  • my grandson is a cook at kfc with all his clothes having that fast food smell so its like the house is haunted by Colonel Sanders

  • Old carpet, that’s screaming out to be dry cleaned!

  • The smell of phenyl! I was a bright spark and mopped our wooden floors with it thinking it would refresh them…. I was wrong. Not only has it made our house smell like a place they clean biohazard material, it absorbed into the wood and has stayed put!

  • it will be great with the whole family to have a nice smeilling freshner for the whole house which will make us ahve a nice smell in the house

  • To be honest it would need to be the smell of my workboots and socks after a hot summers day of labour, seems to linger for days after

  • Musty smell, when the windows have been closed in my home for some time. So the air is trapped. Sometimes it’s difficult to remove, as the odour is very strong sometimes. So using Ambi Pur would ensure that my home smells fresher for longer.

  • Dirty nappies! Simply! haha I have a 2 year old and 1 year old…. Let’s just say we go through so many nappies!!

  • Dirty nappies and baby vomit. My second child seems to be a spewy baby and I always find a little trail of spew when she is crawling around the house. Continually using spray n wipe to try and hide the smell

  • my partner is pretty smelly at times

  • My partner is a concreter. THE concrete and soil smell never ever leaves the house. It is horrible we need to think of something that works well to get rid of this smell.

  • My partners stinking work clothes, Not only does he sweat from being in a hot shed all day but he works with steel and a lot of dust ..

  • Burnt toast! I dont know how I do it, but no matter what the setting I always burn the toast! Odour seems to stay in the house all day, especially because I usually have it for breakfast

  • my boyfriend makes his own dog food….yuk!

  • Sweaty gym stuff,
    And I’ve had enough!
    Continuous washing of it,
And I still get a sniff!
    Need something long lasting,
    So my nostrils can sing.

  • I would have to say it’s toilet odour. Something that smells pretty would work perfectly.

  • Poohey nappies
