We love going to the beach the most. Playing in the surf, riding the waves on body boards or trying to work out how to use a skim board. The kids love playing in the dunes and sliding down them, and our dog just loves going crazy in the sand.

when it is Blackberry season, the family take a picnic and pick these juicy morsels for me to make Blackberry Jam that we all love.

Picnics in the park then swimming in the creek.

A leafy green park,
And evening when it won’t be dark.
A cricket set and a bunch of friends,
And food that never ends!

going camping it allows the kids to get back to basics and learn to survive in the bush if they ever get lost.

A picnic can be done anywhere and anytime and the country is the best place

Because we have two young kids, our favourite family countryside activity is playing with baby animals at the farm.

Our families favourite countryside activity is going to Uncle Harry’s farm. The kids love feeding the animals, especially feeding the lambs a bottle. They go up to the chook pens and collect the eggs from the nest. If they get up really early they also get to milk the cows.

Going out to a National Park for a picnic and go for a bushwalk.

As we live in the country i would have to say just skipping rocks on the water at the river! So peaceful, quiet and the kids have a ball and get super excited when they skip the rock just once

Going to a strawberry farm and picking our own berries to make fresh homemade jam with!

Bush walking is always a great family activity

Splishing and spashing through muddy puddles on a cold winters day when the snow has just started to fall up in the Blue Mountains. All snug and warm in tracksuits, water-proof boots and beanies on a special family day out!

We love taking the kids out and about exploring all of the sights and finishing off the day with an outdoor picnic dinner.
