The NEW Platinum SICT Convertible Car Seat boasts extra head and torso protection and is designed to cater for children from birth to approximately four years of age.

Featuring Britax Safe-n-Sound’s exclusive Side Impact Cushion Technology (SICT), the Platinum SICT provides both dual layer head and innovative new torso protection which acts to minimise the energy felt by a child in a side impact crash.

The first SICT layer provides 180-degrees of protection around your child’s head, while the second layer on the exterior of the seat provides torso protection which absorbs immediate side impact crash energy by approximately 5% more than the previous Platinum AHR Air Cushion model. The added protection of torso SICT minimises the energy felt on your child’s chest during a side impact crash by 25%.

The Platinum SICT also features the Active Head Restraint (AHR) Easy Adjust lever, with deeper side wings to shield your child’s head and easily adjust as they grow. Simply pull up on the Easy Adjust lever to raise the headrest to the correct height and the shoulder straps automatically reposition, eliminating the need to rethread the harness, which reduces the risk of incorrect installation and harness fitment as your child grows.

In addition, the Platinum SICT seated height is now 30mm higher than the previous model (from 405mm to 435mm), enabling your child to use the seat for longer, plus it also features the EZ-Buckle System to prevent your child from sitting on the buckle when getting in and out of the car.

The Platinum is available in Silver, Hazel or Aniseed and features a colourful holder to attach toys, retractable stabilising bar, silver harness and full-length messy mat with storage pocket.

Love the EZ-Buckle System, too many times searching, to strap my little ones in, they complain the whole time, which doesn’t make things any easier.

I like auto-adjust headrest and shoulder strap. It’ll reduce the chance of human error on our part when we are very busy with the kid.

The most appealing feature for me is the “Side Impact Cushion Technology” with this system I will be much relaxed when I am driving with my little girl. I also like the EZ-Buckle System; I am forever looking under my little one after she sits in the seat for the buckle!

my daughter is not yet 3 and quite tall so the extra 30mm is a god send forking out for inadequate seats is so frustrating
