We are giving away the absolutely gorgeous Cake Stand – A Piece of Cake from the Carrol Boyes Range worth $495.

Quirky and iconic, the Cake Stand – A Piece of Cake is one of the best sellers from the Carrol Boyes range. It is hand-crafted in glass and aluminium, and the removable glass platter means it is easy to clean. Mums will now have the perfect display stand for their delicious and beautiful cakes.

All year round mums are superheroes, whether it is the support that they consistently provide, the delicious home cooked meals or finding that essential item of clothing that has mysteriously disappeared. They deserve the very best, and what better way to show your love and appreciation for them than by giving them a meaningful and beautiful present on Mother’s Day, one that they will enjoy for years to come.

Renowned South African artist and designer Carrol Boyes has created the perfect balance between art and function in her unique gift and homeware range. The company designs, manufactures and distributes an extensive range of over 1,000 hand-crafted metal homeware, giftware, flatware and tabletop products. The inspiration behind these unique items come from both the human form and the beauty of nature.

The exquisite range is stocked in select David Jones stores across Australia and is available through a number of other stockists country-wide. Buy online at https://carrolboyes.com/au

  • Beef wellington as its the perfect mix between a roast and gourmet food

  • Mum’s Chicken Noodle Soup is my favourite because it gave me comfort and warmth when I was ill, it always made me feel better.

  • My favourite home-made meal made by mum has to be her lamb roast! It is always tender and she does the best roast vegetables too.
The added bonus is left over lamb is used to make another favourite of mine – Shepherds pie! Win-win!

  • My favourite meal by Mum was pork and beans – a simple stir fry which was also so comforting and yum.

  • her famous lasagne because it tastes so amazing!

  • Tuna moray it’s the only thing she doesn’t burn

  • Mum makes the most incredible Honey Prawns and Fried Rice…. She just bought a cookbook and made them one day, and to this day each of us kids, grandkids and Dad want it for our birthday dish! Mum nailed it xxxx

  • My mum makes a wicked and hearty beef stroganoff. Delicious and smells great, always plenty left over for lunch next day. Best part is nothing beats laughs over the dinner table when the whole family gathers.

  • Mum makes a great chicken soup which she still makes when we are not well. There is nothing better than chicken soup in winter on those cold nights or when you are not well.

  • There’s not too many things mum cooked that I enjoyed, being English she cooked a lot of heavy stodgey food. But she did make a brilliant rice pudding. Sweet and gooey with an awesome caramelised brown crust on top. I’ve tried to recreate a few times…..FAIL!

  • Meatloaf because it is easy and simple to make and she puts a blend of spices in it that just makes it taste so good.

  • A fresh fish risotto does it for me,
Fresh and tasty from the sea.
    The texture coupled with the flavour;
It’s a dish to really savour!

  • Lasagna when I broke up with my partner, it is my favourite, but more importantly it was given to me with kindness, love and warmth (BOYE did it work a treat!)
