Hello!

Thanks to Monkey Baa Theatre Company, 6 lucky winners will WIN a family pass (4 x tickets) to The Witches at Lend Lease Darling Quarter Theatre, valued at $90.

Think you can outwit a witch and outrun a mouse? Then get ready for The Witches, bursting on to the Monkey Baa stage at Lend Lease Darling Quarter Theatre, for a limited school holiday season, from June 30th to July 4th.

When one little boy unwittingly stumbles into the annual meeting of witches, he hears their nasty plan to get rid of all the children in the world – by turning them into mice! It’s going to take smarts and sneakiness to stop them and not get squished in the process.

Brave boys and girls, rat-racers and retirees are in for a wicked and wonderful time with this mind-boggling and madcap one-man show.

Recommended for ages 6 and over.

Visit Monkey Baa for further info.

  • Sabrina the teenage witch because she was like any other teenager but with a special secret.

  • Bad Jelly the Witch!! Knickers knickers!! My favourite childhood memories listening to her story on the radio. Her big belly laugh – it scared me to death but I loved it!!

  • THE WHITE WITCH OF nARNIA

  • Glinda, the good witch from the Wizard of Oz, as my 4yo daughter recently played her in her preschool performance.

  • I don’t have a favourite Witch.

  • My all time favourite witch has got to be Bellatrix Lestrange played by Helena Bonham Carter in Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. Also my favourite Harry Potter movie :)

  • Good luck to all who enter.

  • Hermione smartest witch EVER…

  • Bewitched – the series got me hooked from the start. I used to be in awe of this lovely looking witch, and wanted to be able to twitch my nose and make my mother in law disappear, if even for a second. I loved her daughter Tabatha, with her twinkly eyes and tricks and spells.

  • The Wicked Witch of the West – I used to have nightmares about her when I was younger but I’ve come to like her over the years!!!

  • I love ‘Witchypoo’ from H.R.Puffinstuff because she always tried but never won and of course those fantastic long stripey socks are a winner.

  • I love Bad Jelly the witch, story by Spike Milligan. It brings back childhood memories for me AND my mum recently bought the book for my daughter, so the cycle continues as she loves it too!

  • Willow (from Buffy) – she has plenty of ‘Hex’ appeal!

  • I love ‘Kiki’ from Studio Ghibli’s animated film, ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’. Kiki is a young witch who has to learn what her talent is by heading out into the world. It’s adorable and a great family film with a good message.

  • The wicked witch of the west, so green and ugly!

  • Elizabeth Montgomery from BEWITCHED because she was such a good wife, mum and witch and I loved watching her. She made me smile :)

  • From hansel and gretal, As I just watched the original movie and she was an ugly witch.TRUST ME UGLY BIG LONG NOSE, with a wort on it. But there are good witches as well, I just don’t no any!!

  • Wicked witch of the west because what good witch isn’t wicked?

  • Glenda because she was kind

  • My favourite is Mrs Weasley from Harry Potter as she used magic for good (like cooking dinner and washing the dishes) not evil. I could use some of that magic myself!
