4 lucky winners will each receive a Family Pass to iconic tourist attraction, Sovereign Hill, where they can step back in time to the 1850s goldrush. Each Family Pass is valued at $136.00, and is valid for 2 adults and up to four children.

Experience the rush of discovering a shiny, gold nugget after weeks spent panning for gold. The thrill of savouring a sweet raspberry drop for the first time. The sheer desperation as a miner prepares to join the Eureka Rebellion to fight for his rights on the goldfields.

The hopes, dreams and struggles of the people who descended upon Ballarat in the 1850s in search of gold and riches, are told in a series of new films for Sovereign Hill, entitled ‘The Story Lives on’.

The first film, The Bounty, tells the story of a young girl and boy on the goldfields, admiring the sweet treats of the lolly shop, and hoping to leave the shop with a bounty!

At Sovereign Hill, the story of an important time and place in Australian history, and the people who experienced it, lives on. Visitors can be transported to another time and place, and be amazed by the incredible stories and legends of the 1850s gold rush

Sovereign Hill is where Australia’s history comes to life! It’s just like stepping back in time – from the hustle and bustle of Main Street where costumed ladies and gents parade their new-found wealth, to the excitement of the Red Hill Gully Diggings where you can pan for real gold and it’s yours to keep!

  • That the kids haven’t got a care in the world. They have their bag of lollies and are happy as can be. Just how I love to see my kids. Having fun together and that’s all that matters in that moment.
